SysML v2 provides a new foundation for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), with changes in both the language and how models can be used, exchanged and integrated.
This three-day advanced workshop is designed for professionals who already have basic SysML v2 modeling knowledge and want to deepen their practical understanding of the language, its application and its role in MBSE.
The workshop combines theory, demonstrations, discussions and extensive hands-on modeling exercises. Participants progressively apply SysML v2 concepts while exploring methodology, architecture, behavior, requirements and selected advanced topics.
The agenda is intentionally flexible and may be adapted during the workshop based on discussions, progress and participant needs.
The workshop is structured around three days:
Tim Weilkiens is an MBSE consultant and trainer and a member of the executive board of oose eG. He is an active member of the OMG and INCOSE communities, co-authored the SysML v1 specification and was co-chair of the task force responsible for the final SysML v2 submission. He is currently co-chair of the SysML v2.1 Revision Task Force.
His background combines involvement in the development of SysML with extensive experience of applying MBSE in practice across different domains.
Basic SysML v2 modeling know-how is required.
The workshop is highly hands-on, with modeling exercises integrated throughout all three days. It begins with warm-up exercises that refresh existing SysML v2 knowledge and introduce useful modeling patterns before moving into more advanced topics.
Participants will use the free Cameo Systems Modeler Community Edition during the workshop.
The goal of the workshop is to strengthen participants’ ability to apply SysML v2 in practical MBSE work and to understand how the language can support different aspects of systems development.
After the workshop, participants should have a deeper understanding of how to:
The workshop is intended for professionals with basic SysML v2 knowledge who want to deepen their practical modeling skills and understanding of MBSE.
Typical participants include:
The workshop is particularly relevant for professionals and organizations that want to move beyond basic SysML v2 modeling and develop a more systematic approach to applying the language within MBSE.
Develop your practical modeling skills and explore how SysML v2 can be applied across methodology, architecture, requirements and advanced MBSE applications.
